Hey everyone! Hope the holiday’s been treating you well and that you and your fam were able to be in a more peaceful mood versus the hectic days so far. Let’s get on it and share what’s been on my mind the past week 🤓

Note: If you notice, I also tried tweaking the design of things here and there. Let me know what you think!

Vico Sotto On Change

I’m sure everyone in the Philippines knows this man. He’s the well-known mayor of Pasig City known for his strong and positive response to the pandemic and also his general disposition being a non-political guy looking to just get things done. There’s much to admire about him and he spoke in this event known as XChange talking to student leaders. He talks about many things but what stands out to me is how he is able to show people how he was able to bring about change in Pasig not through him alone but as a collective unit. There are some nuggets there even if you’re not a student that you’d enjoy I’m sure. Check the video out!

Attack on Titan Ending (No Spoilers)

Don’t worry there are no spoilers here except the fact that Eren —

I’m just kidding.

I’ve joined the Attack On Titan bandwagon fairly recently as season 4 was rolling along but what a journey. There aren’t a lot of series that are able to just keep elevating the stakes and keeping you out of guard with what’s next. A seemingly neverending roller coaster where you think it’s time for the drop but it keeps getting higher and higher only to culminate with the last chapter.

It’s been fun and if that piqued your interest, check it out.

Oliver Austria & Slater Young Friendship Goals

An alternative title here is the power of the YouTube algorithm on people as I never had a strong interest in architecture nor construction yet got these videos recommended and somehow got to watching them. Going in-depth on that, however, would be a tangent from what I want to talk more about.

Oliver Austria (architect) and Slater Young (engineer) both run YouTube channels talking about construction and the like. What I really loved seeing from the two of them is their friendship grow from reacting to each other’s videos (first two videos) to finally being together on the podcast (last video) talking about their common interest in construction and building. It was a joy to watch and I hope that everyone has friends that they could have relationships like this with where they get to geek out about what they’re genuinely interested in.

Video 1, Video 2, Video 3

How about you? What’s one thing that you just dove deeper into and learned more and more?

Hope you enjoyed this week’s sharing and if there’s anything that’s on your mind that you want to share, by all means, please do! Till next week 🤓
